ONE MONTH DOWN

Hellllo bloggie friends!

It's been so much fun around here lately.  We are just enjoying being married!  It's been exactly one month and sixteen days since the day we became husband and wife.  We're going to be getting our pictures back very soon and we cannot wait!  I will definitely share when we get them!

Here's a few ways I would describe marriage after our first month!

C H A L L E N G I N G

Being married to the love of my life is challenging.  Ryan is opposite of me in so many ways, we disagree on many different things and have two different perspectives a lot of the time.  The challenging part is that we have entered into the most intimate relationship we will ever experience with another human this side of heaven.  Marriage involves every aspect of our lives, and we are seeing the depths of each other.  We are seeing the deepest, most dirty and sinful parts of each other's hearts.  This is why marriage is challenging.

Marriage is so so sweet.  Waking up next to my best friend in the entire world, every. single. morning.  is just blissful.  I wouldn't ever want to go back to waking up alone each morning.  Some of the sweetest things include: cuddling with my husband as we fall asleep each night, Ryan making my coffee or tea while I'm getting ready for work, baking heart shaped cookies together, dreaming about what our future might look like, a random dinner date on a Tuesday evening...I could go on and on.

E N C O U R A G I N G

Living together and seeing the depths of each other has been hard, but it has been so incredibly encouraging.  I have loved having my best friend by my side at every moment.  He has been there in the happiest moments and through the tears, sadness and arguments.  He has been there when I have  struggled and when I have felt frustrated.  My husband has been there and in each of those times having him there has been so encouraging.  He encourages me, my identity in Jesus, and our pursuit of making Christ the center of our marriage.

I am just so in love.  I'm excited to continue enjoying life with my favorite person and for all the life stages we will walk through together over the next 60+ years!
