Titus Matthew | 6 months

A G E: SIX months! I can't believe how fast my baby is growing up!

He wouldn't leave the fox alone so this is the best I could do ;) And this is SUCH a Titus face. "I won't smile for you but I'll give a TINY smirk"

W E I G H T: 17 pounds 9 ounces (51st percentile)! He gained about a pound and a half since his 4 month visit!

L E N G T H: 26 inches (23rd percentile), he only grew half an inch since 4 months!

S I Z E: He is still a solid size 3 in diapers! He wears a good mix of 6-9M and 9-12M all dependent upon brand and fit. Mommy is loving the cool weather which means he gets to wear adorable sweaters and pants and jeans and all that jazz!

E Y E S & H A I R: Both still dark brown!

S L E E P I N G: His sleep is identical to what it was at his 5 month update! The only thing that is slightly different is that he has woken up in the middle of the night a few times over the past few weeks which I'm attributing to his teeth!

He sleeps 10-12 hours at night! We have a pretty good bedtime routine. Everything starts about 6:30/6:45pm. We give him a bath, lotion up, jammies, comb hair and read a book. Then he has his last feeding (a bottle of formula) around 7pm. He falls asleep on his own and sleeps until anywhere between 5am and 7am! I feed him and then he goes right back down for 2-3 more hours! We usually get up for the day around 8 or 9am!

As far as naps, he is still napping 2-3 times a day. Usually he naps at 10/11am, 1/2pm and 4/5pm. And each of those naps last an hour to an hour and a half.

E A T I N G: We are still going strong with breastfeeding! I have to say...any brand new mamas who are  breastfeeding or pregnant mamas considering it: It was very hard in the beginning for me. We didn't have any latching or supply issues, it's just draining. Any honest mama will tell you it hard, worth it, but hard. NOW that Titus is older, it has become so much easier. I am so glad I stuck it out. There are a lot of reasons why I love it but they are easier to remember now that it's not nearly as draining as it used to be!

With that being said, Titus nurses 4-5 times a day and gets a 6-8 oz. bottle of formula before bed! I feed him pureed baby food 2-3 times a day (he usually gets 8-12oz of baby food per day). I do fruit or fruit with cereal/oatmeal for breakfast, then veggies/meat for lunch and dinner! He eats anything and everything! He honestly loves it all! This month I'll be adding in lots of regular food now that he has teeth!

M I L E S T O N E S:
-Titus has TWO TEETH! His bottom two front teeth came in about 2 weeks ago so he was 5 1/2 months old when they finally broke through.
-Sat up in the shopping cart for the first time this month!
-Sat in a high chair in a restaurant for the first time, too!
-He sits up all by himself for long periods of time. Still topples over sometimes but is getting better and better!
-He loves to stand while holding my fingers.
-He makes very high pitched squealing/screaming sounds when he is happy!
-He has been so close to rolling from back to belly about A MILLION times. He totally CAN do it, he just chooses not to! Everytime I lay him on his belly, he flips to his back almost immediately. So, I'm working on getting more tummy time in!
-He is very wary of strangers nowadays - usually just stares at them with a blank face.
-Still loves mama and daddy to hold and play with him - and mama and daddy love it too!

O U T I N G S: Nothing new this month! He goes everywhere with mama during the day and still all the normal weekly outings - i.e. church on Sundays, grocery shopping, errands, walking the mall, etc.

F A V  T O Y S/A C T I V I T I E S: He still loves being outside but now that it's colder it's not as much of an option. He plays on the floor a lot, loves his exersaucer and jumper (obsessed with bouncing), loves sitting up with toys in front of him! His current favorite toy is his light up drum set! It's a sure way to entertain him.

W O R D S/S O U N D S: Lots and lots of sounds! Giggles, high pitched squeals, screams, coos, cries...he does it all! Expect speak of course ;)

N I C K N A M E S: Titus boy, Love bug, Titus Almightus, Sweet boy, Tighter, Tighter Almighty, Duke, Dukers, Buck, Bucky - don't ask, I have no idea haha

F U N N Y  M O M E N T S: He likes to play a screaming game with daddy! He screams and squeals, daddy covers his ears and says, "Titus! That's so loouuuuuddd" and over and over and over again ;)

Outtakes...
